Update: Month Thirty-One, Day Thirteen

Cole had his two week checkup today (a day early), and all is well! He weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces...5 ounces more than his birth weight...which made our pediatrician very happy! He is still 19 1/2 inches long, so pretty soon he could be cute and chubby if he keeps gaining weight but not height :0). In the past 13 days Cole has slept through more noise than you would ever imagine...Kate screaming, the television blaring, his dad sneezing (while holding him!), etc. He has also been quite a champ as Kate hugs (squeezes) him, kisses him, and pokes him. We have started calling him the freakishly good baby :0) Big sister Kate is hanging in there. Let me first say that she LOVES her brother! In fact the first thing she asks in the morning and after waking up from nap is "where's the baby?", and she is constantly saying how cute he is and that she "loves him so much!" She is definitely jealous though and her way of acting out has been to be defiant. She has also regressed a little bit. She was fully potty trained and now some mornings she only wants to wear a diaper, she throws tantrums for EVERYTHING, and she likes to "be a baby". It makes me sad to see her acting like this, and I can only hope that it passes quickly. Until then, wish me luck! :0)
