Missy Fish

Somebody became a serious swimmer while we were in Vermont!  In fact the first thing she asked me when we got home was where she was going to swim!...  We have since purchased a year pass to Jordanelle and been going a few times a week.  Pretty soon she won't need her floaties!

 

 

I love how Indy enters near the end...in true Indy fashion...he always seems to sneak into the shot :0)

YES!

Cole has a funny way of saying yes.  You would think the "uh uh" he says is no, but it's really yes.  He was doing it for Kate and I one night at dinner, but as soon as I got the camera out he WOULD NOT do it for us....at least we know "NNNOO!" is no :0)

 

Ski bug

Well, it took me long enough to figure the whole video thing out...like 4 years...  The good news is that you can expect to see more video of the kids from now on!!!  It's like the new and improved And Then There Were 3!

Kate has become quite the little skier this season.  She and Marc have gone up to Brighton almost every weekend for the past month...lucky girl!  Marc's having a little trouble keeping up with her these days :0)  

In lieu of actual class...

Here is a little taste of what Kate is learning in dance class... 

(Note:  It was the Wednesday before Halloween hence the costumes.  I didn't think about dressing Kate up...there for, she was a ballerina :0))

I happened to walk in right as it was Kate's turn to "jump over the cones", I also happened to have my camera ready!  Sometimes you just get lucky I guess :0)   

Take Along Tunes

All I wanted was the radio that went to this jeep...but we ended up with the whole package. Did our 2 1/2 year old need a jeep?! Probably not, but now that we have it it is pretty cute, and Kate LOVES it!!! Marc picked it up one day and brought it home while Kate was napping, and this is how she reacted when she saw it... She recognized the radio because Mabel and Hannah have one, and I guess just put two and two together when she yelled "Barbie Jeep!"

As you can see, she was ready to roll from the second she got in! She's slowly getting better at steering, but has controlling the radio down! :0)

Shout out

We hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!!! Even though Mother Nature was not very kind to us here, I still had a great day with Kate and Marc :0) They spoiled me with flowers, balloons, and yummy strawberries...I'm a lucky mama!!! I wish we were able to be with family on days like this, but at least we are able to talk with them, and through technology they can see Kate :0)

The jumping pumpkin

This is what Kate was doing while I was trying to get a decent picture of her in her costume. Jumping is her big thing right now, especially when we are outside, and she thinks she is jumping "off of" the tree!

Blow Indy blow

Kate was trying to get Indy to blow bubbles the other day. Of course he wasn't interested, but you can see that she was really cracking herself up over it.

Orangutan

Kate has always moved to the music, but lately she REALLY MOVES to the music!!! I caught her showing off her new dance, the orangutan...a special dance move she learned from Uncle Pat! But first she had to pick out her dance music, and as you can see from that face, it's serious business!

Beatbox Bunny

Being the youngest kid on the block, Kate is often spoiled by our neighbor Marie. Just a few weeks ago she got two new outfits and a stuffed animal for her birthday. Sunday, Marie came over with an Easter basket for Kate which included a bunny whose tag read "Get the party hoppin!" And that he did...

(Beatbox Bunny has since been moved to the basement, where he doesn't get quite as much playtime).

She's walking!

I know what you're thinking...What?! Kate's walking?...when did that start? How could you not have told us sooner?! Well, I have a perfectly good excuse, I didn't want to get you all hyped up because then you would want to see a video of it...and have you tried to get a video of this girl? She doesn't want any part of it and will actually stop walking or doing whatever it was that I was trying to capture her doing. (See video, she actually tries to shut the door on me!)

Anyway, details...which I may have mentioned before(?)...Kate started taking a few unassisted steps the week of her birthday and has just taken off since then. I still can't believe that she can walk and occasionally I have to do a double take when I see her walk around the corner to me! It's fun and crazy all at the same time, but we are definitely enjoying this new stage in Kate's life :0)

Off to work she goes...

This is the bag that I bring to work with me...there's a ton of junk in it, and Kate loves to get it there and check things out. After a few pictures, and with my badge in hand, she took off with it...to work I guess! :0)

Good times

I was giving Indy some goldfish crackers last night, and Kate just thought that was hilarious. I was glad that she kept up that belly laugh for the camera. Is that not the best sound?!?!

Push it

I mentioned in her update that Kate has been walking around behind stuff, so here's a little video of it. And once again Indy tries to steal the show, but gets out of the shot a little faster this time.

Favorite present

Here is a little glimpse of Christmas morning. As I mentioned before, Kate loved playing with the paper and especially loved the curly ribbon that came off this package...we still have it floating around the house. If only Christmas could be that cheap every year!

Something new

If you want to see Kate making some seriously funny faces this video is for you. But, if you think that it is mean that I let my baby suck on a lemon to make said funny faces this video is not for you.

Note: Kate was not harmed in the making of this video...what looked like lemon in her eye didn't actually make it to her eye!

Johnny Jump-up

Kate LOVES the Johnny Jump-up! At times it can keep her occupied for a good hour...perfect for when I need to vacuum or wash the floor! I love the noises she makes, and the way she twirls around in it. She is in several times a day, so I don't know why Indy was so interested in it this time...guess he just wanted to say hi!

Backyard crawl

As you can see here Kate has really perfected her crawl and was checking out the wide open spaces of the backyard last weekend...until she found a leaf! She LOVES leaves! Then it's game over, she's in a zone and sorry, but there was no way she was going to smile for the camera :0)

A little snippet

Here is a really short video of Kate crawling...and sitting up when she gets where she is going. She is getting really fast and can be across the room in a matter of seconds...watch out Indy!

Yum!

Here is a little video of Kate at mealtime. It has been really fun introducing her to new foods this past month...here she is trying a barley biscuit...it should be zwieback toasts, but they don't make then anymore! I am slowly getting over the fact that mealtime=messy time, and I resisted the urge to wipe up every sticky biscuity hand print as she made them!
