Update: Month Twenty Nine

It's been a few months since I've done an update, and it is definitely overdue (as is this post, because Kate was 29 months on Saturday...)! Kate has changed so much lately...sadly she is more like a little girl than a baby... She has always been independent, but lately she has been testing the limits of her independence more and more. "No" is a familiar and worn out word around here used by both parents and child. As I mentioned in a recent post, I have been trying to do daily activities with Kate, so we are always doing something new and different in an attempt to decrease the use of "no"...sometimes it works, sometimes not. Most times I just have to remind myself that she is 2 and her behavior is fairly normal...maybe it's me that needs to grow up :0)

In other news, we have been working on potty training which has been VERY successful! In fact, I'm going to go ahead and call it since we've had just about a week with no accidents!!! Along with potty training comes dressing and undressing, which she was already pretty good at doing, but now she's a pro! Sometimes this is not so great though...like today when she took her dress off in the waiting area of the tire shop! :0)

It goes without saying that Kate keeps me and Marc on our toes! Definitely never a dull moment! She continues to be excited about what she calls her baby sister (most days, and baby brother other days)! I hope she is as excited when the baby is actually here...either way there will be lots of stories to blog about, if I have the time...

This picture makes me laugh...First of all she's carrying around her purse like she's got somewhere to go, she's hanging from the railing, and she's yelling "YEAH?", because I called her name to look at the camera.
