Painting gone wild

Even though I have been tired and unmotivated lately (pregnancy and high temperatures will do that...), I have been trying hard to do new activities daily (ish) with Kate. The Internet is great for finding said activities...too great actually, I have enough for life... The other day I finally tried one of the many new found activities and made a homemade paint recipe for Kate. It was a HUGE success!

I mixed it up while Kate was napping. When she woke up, she chose the colors and helped to mix them into the paint.

Painting away :0) I don't know why I hadn't tried this sooner!!

After using the brushes for a while, Kate started using her hands to make hand prints...then you can see what happened...

The paint was made from water, corn starch, and food coloring, so I didn't care that she was rubbing it all over herself. This activity ended in the kitchen sink, where Kate LOVES playing, so cleanup was as fun as the activity...you can't beat that!
