Update: Month Twenty

No, I didn't forget, I was just having some technical difficulties... Anyway, here we are at twenty months! We had a little bit of a rough start with those four molars coming in, but since then, things have been going well. Kate seems to be a having a growth spurt right now...finally outgrowing her 12 month clothes! I think those four teeth have played a part in this spurt since now Kate is able to really chow down! She is able to tell me what she wants to eat and when...which is mostly some sort of fruit and often! She also enjoys sausage, noodles, yogurt, and toast. Aside from eating, Kate enjoys coloring (in her coloring books and on herself), playing with her dolls, cooking up food for me and Marc in her kitchen, and playing outside. This month Kate has also enjoyed learning her letters, she walks around the house saying random letters and pretending to spell things out. Needless to say, she keeps me on my toes, and there are actually some days when I am excited to go to work because I get a little break :0) Of course once I'm there I wish I were at home with her!
Helping to bag some leaves. After bagging them up, Kate would take the bag to another area and unload them!

Kate is not partial to dolls, she loves anything that she thinks resembles a baby, including the honey bear that was on the counter. She was being so cute with it, and even wrapping it in a blanket (a dish towel) and rocking it.

We started a little group called music makers in October. Kate loves it! After singing songs and marching around, the kids enjoy a snack (usually nothing I would ever give Kate...like Ding-Dongs!!!) and have story time. She looks SO big here!

More fun in the leaves!

Just looking at this picture makes me laugh! Kate was jumping, and I would say "WOW!" and she just thought the whole thing was hilarious! Also notice her shoes...she put them on, but on the wrong feet.

  1. It was so good to see you Sandy! The picture of the honey bear cracks me up because our Katie does the exact same thing with any stuffed animal ALL THE TIME. You look great and thank you for always staying in contact with me. We made it home safe and I think our dog was ready to give up on me just before we got there. Your little Kate is so happy! I love her smiles!
