Update: Month Nineteen

Well, if you can believe it, I actually forgot that it was thirteenth today! Which means that I nearly forgot this update...but here it is, better late than never :0) As usual it has been a busy month. Kate is becoming more independent by the day, which makes for some hard days, but also some fun ones. She is talking more all the time, with her newest word being yes....finally!! Except it sounds like no...she says "neah" which I guess is her version of yeah and I wouldn't know that it was an affirmative if it weren't for the nodding of her head. (I will try to get a video because it's pretty cute). Here are a few things that Kate enjoys doing right now.
Putting on her socks all by herself!

"Helping" me vacuum the living room. Kate thinks the vacuum is really cool, and when she's not using it for it's intended purpose she likes to pretend it's a horse and ride it...sound effects and all.

Kate loves coloring right now. I've tried to introduce her to it several times before, but it's really clicked all of a sudden. She's tells me she wants to "tolor" and as you can see she's not partial to paper...she lets her face in on the action too!

Another new activity Kate enjoys...play dough.
