Eighteen months, a year and a half, one and a half...any way it's said it just doesn't seem possible! And while I am in denial that Kate can already be this old, she will tell you that she is two (while holding up one finger). I tell her over and over "one", and over and over she shakes her head yes says "two!" I'm not quite sure if she thinks she's saying one or if she already just wants to be older than she is. In any case, it is pretty funny!
Kate is as busy as ever, which helps to explain why she only weighs 19 pounds 6 ounces (she has officially fallen off of "the chart"). She is 30 inches tall, and in public people are constantly commenting about how she is too small to be running around like she does, and they are right, it really is a hoot to see such a little munchin running around! What she lacks in size, Kate makes up for in brains. Our doctor said that at this age she should say about 5-6 words...she says about 75...! She loves to read, and I often find her flipping through the pages of her books talking away. Because she is so smart, she really keeps me on my toes, and there are times when my patience wears thin, but about a minute later she's making me laugh, and I forget about being upset...funny how that works. I can't imagine what I'd do without her, and I can't wait to see what she does this month!
